Sales Gallery

Back in November, I wrote about a public art project outside the building being constructed on Avenue A called, appropriately enough, 100 Avenue A!

Last week, as I was walking down Avenue A, I passed by their beloved sales gallery (of course it's a gallery — this is the East Village!):

Sales gallery.

Naturally, I took a peek inside:

All Is Well

All is Well Outside the beloved Niagara bar on the corner of Avenue B and East 7th Street, Joe Strummer looks onto an East Villager, fashionably dressed in all-black.

Fashionably dressed.

Joe Strummer would approve… in the East Village Today!

The Odd Couple

Before I move on to posting videos, I have a few somewhat-recent pictures I haven't posted yet!

I was walking through Tompkins Square Park about, oh, ten days ago, when I passed by this scene:

The odd couple.

You see these things (guy in all-black, slouched over; guy in Ralph Lauren outfit, texting) by themselves all the time, but I don't think I've seen them together… in the East Village… ever!

Everything Black

Meg, on East 9th Street, a store that sells only black items, is having a sale on all black items:

Clever, no?

All Black

East Villagers love to wear all black. Black pants, black shirt, black shoes, black hair… You name it, if it comes in black or can be turned black, they love it.

This woman, at today's 10th Street Block Fair, even has black tattoos!

Typical East Villager.
