The Lone Citibike

Sometimes people say to me, they say: Hey East Village Today, does the East Village ever remind you of the wild, wild west?

And I tell them: Yes siree, bucko!

Here is an example: a Citibike at the curb, just as a horse would be hitched up to a hitching post outside a cantina:

This Citibike is parked outside either the beloved Asian Body Work or the beloved Physical Graffitea, on St. Mark's Place, on a Sunday morning in early June.

The East Village is like a ghost-town on Sunday mornings in early June — all that's missing are the tumbling tumbleweeds!
