Whorephobia

I was walking up Avenue A this morning, when I saw this sign pasted onto a ParkNYC meter:

Respect All Sex Workers.

Here is a close-up:

Close-up.

Whorephobia? Who's afraid of whores? I didn't know there were whores in the East Village!

Here's an even closer close-up:

Closer close-up.

East Villagers are not afraid of anything, let alone whores!

Maybe this sign was meant for a different East Village!

Chillin' In The Bike Lane

A couple of weeks ago, I was walking up Second Avenue, when I saw this woman chillin' with her feet in the bike lane:

Feet in the bike lane.

I guess when you find a backrest as comfortable as a ParkNYC Muni Meter, where your feet wind up is not important!

Banana On A ParkNYC Meter

The banana is the most photographable fruit, bar none! There are no bad angles!

Behold, on top of a ParkNYC Muni Meter on Avenue A, a couple of weeks ago:

Behold.

The banana is not just the most photographable fruit, it's the most versatile: you can pretend to talk on the phone with it, you can use it to imitate a monkey, you can even decorate an album cover with it… it's endless!

By comparison, on the other side of the sidewalk were these cabbage leaves:

Cabbage leaves.

Really — why did I even take the picture?!
