What can you say? East Villagers love SantaCon — it goes without saying!

It's the second-most popular event on the East Village social calendar — second only to Halloween because, you know… those dogs are so cute!

East Villagers are beside themselves in anticipation of the event that almost rivals the Halloween Dog Parade: Santa Con!

I was walking up Second Avenue yesterday, when I saw this:

An artist was painting a picture of The 13th Step, a popular bar in the East Village.

It's never too early to begin creating the memories of tomorrow. In some ways, that's exactly what I'm doing!

The 13th Step

Most of my pictures have been of the East Village during the daytime, but the East Village is a cool nighttime location too!

This is a picture of The 13th Step, a popular bar on Second Avenue:

The 13th Step.

It's only night in this picture because of the recent end of Daylight Savings Time — I took this around 6:00pm — but soon I'm going to take pictures during the real nighttime, when the real East Villagers are at their peak!

Sentry on Duty

When I walked past The 13th Step*, on Second Avenue, this early afternoon, the first thing I noticed was the sentry they had on duty. There was no one there, but he was ready for anything!
