Free Cone Day

East Villagers love ice cream — you know this by the number of ice cream shops in the neighborhood.

The most recent to open, Ben & Jerry's, on St. Mark's Place, declared today, April 10, Free Cone Day.

Behold:

Free Cone Day.

If you didn't believe me about East Villagers loving ice cream, take a look at these pictures I took on my way home from working today:

Waiting for ice cream.

I'm… waiting for my ice cream man…

Almost there.

The other beloved ice cream shops in the neighborhood should take notice — the only thing East Villagers love more than ice cream is free ice cream!

Welcome Ben & Jerry's

Back in the good old days, around 2015, the East Village had its own Pinkberry's. Then it closed.

Luckily, we now have our own Ben & Jerry's — and in the same location!

In the same location.

There can never be too many ice cream shops in the East Village!

Ben & Jerry's Opening Soon

Long-time East Villagers will certainly remember the beloved Pinkberry that used to be on St. Mark's Place — it's almost three years since they closed!

Good news: the beloved Ben & Jerry's is moving into the same location!

Behold:

Ben & Jerry's.

We're sad that the beloved Caffé Bene is gone (that moved here after Pinkberry closed) but we rejoice that soon we'll be eating more ice cream!
