Yet Another Amazing Dog

Dogs in the East Village learn quickly. When they see one dog balancing its poop on a tree guard, they have to do it too!

First there was this, then this.

Now there's this, on East 4th Street Street:

Here is a close-up:

What's next from these amazing dogs?!

Amazing Dog

Everywhere you go in the East Village these days, signs of Spring can be found.

Here are some daffodil buds, budding up in a tree bed on East 4th Street:

Budding up.

Wait a minute — what is that?!

Balancing dog poop.

It's dog poop, balancing on the tree guard!

What an amazing dog.

Scofflaws

East Villagers are notorious scofflaws!

Here is an example of scofflawing, across the street from the beloved Vazac's, on East 7th Street at Avenue B:

Scofflaw.

As if that were not evidence enough, here is more:

Unpicked-up dog poop.

What if there were a fire at Vazac's? The fire department would arrive and have to go around the illegally-parked SUV to get to the fire hydrant, not see the dog poop, and slip on it!

It sounds funny, but it's not.

WWSLD?

What would Spike Lee do if he lived in the East Village, had a dog, and it pooped on the sidewalk in front of Secret Garden on East 4th Street at Avenue C?

Secret Garden.

He would pick up his dog's poo!

Do the right thing.

In this case, that means taking a re-purposed plastic bag out of the re-purposed plastic milk carton and using it to pick up the poo!

Here is a close-up of the inside of the milk carton:

I wouldn't be at all surprised if some bird doesn't build a nest in that bottle — East Villagers will get a nasty peck on the hand for their efforts!

Dogs Doo Not Have Hands

Speaking of signs appealing to dog owners to pick up the poop, I saw this sign this past Monday, on East 7th Street:

Doo?

It's OK to not pick up after your small dog!
