Mosaic Trail Expands Eastward

I was walking across East 7th Street this past Friday morning, when I saw what could only be described as the newest addition to the Mosaic Trail:

It's difficult to know at this time whether this is by Mosaic Man Jim Power, a recent work by the famous Invader, or a new mosaic artist, but one thing is certain: It's a welcome addition to the beloved Mosaic Trail!

Mongoose vs. Cobra

I was walking up Avenue B this morning when I happened to spy East Village artist Jim Power drag racing a truck!

The truck pulled away from the East 6th Street starting line pretty quickly and Power was never able to catch up.

Drag racing is very popular on the back streets of the East Village!

9th Street Block Party

As I wrote in another post, East Villagers love street fairs.

Yesterday was the 9th Street Block Party, slated to begin at 11:00am. This is the scene looking eastward, at 11:13:
