9th Street Block Party 2015

It seems like it was only yesterday that I was writing about the beloved East 9th Street Block Party, and yet it was a year ago! (Whoa! Deja vu!)

This past Saturday, the 9th Street Block Party was in full swing again:

The beloved Superiority Burger was dishing up their famous Frito Pie (Fritos in the bag, some kind of chili stuff, and some kind of cheesy stuff. Trans-fats are vegan!):

Finally, the beloved 9th Street Block Party Band played while people… recorded their surroundings!

9th Street Block Party

As I wrote in another post, East Villagers love street fairs.

Yesterday was the 9th Street Block Party, slated to begin at 11:00am. This is the scene looking eastward, at 11:13:

I decided to walk around and capture other moments in the life of the East Village. An hour later, I made my way back, to discover…

Later in the afternoon, it rained. Still, a good time was had by all!

Old Flat Top

There is an RV that I see around the East Village from time to time, with the name Old Flat Top painted on the front. I guess it's so people can say, when they see it coming, "Here come Old Flat Top!"

It was parked on East 3rd Street today and the door was open. I went to take a picture, but my camera battery was dead. I headed back to the bench in front of the Hell's Angels headquarters, to sit down and change the battery, but the stoop of a building was closer, so I sat there instead. I changed the battery and then took this picture:

Maybe the dog's name is Old Flat Top. He does have joo-joo eyeball!
