Someone removed two the the bricks that used to be here, but left the third brick!
You have to wonder why those bricks were put there, so many years ago, when this tree was just a sapling, and why no one took them sooner!
What will the tree do, now that its supports have been removed? Will people trip over these protruding roots?
Many unanswered questions… in the East Village Today!

a lot of TSP used to be paved with cobble stones. that tree grew around the cobble stones. when the cobble stones were removed, the three that the tree grew around were left behind. over time, two of them came loose, but the third remains.
