I've Seen That Face Before

You may remember this mural from such posts as "fresco" and "fresco Update":

Stay Human.

But did you know that the Stay Human face, now unglamorously inscribed by noted graffitier Jewman, can be seen in at least one other location in the East Village?

Behold, the riot gates of the beloved Giano, on East 7th Street:

Riot gates.

Can you tell which one it is? I'll give you a hint: it's the one on the right!

The one on the left looks like a young Kari Margolis!

The Beloved Giano

I was walking down East 7th Street yesterday evening, on my way home from work, when I passed by a place that looked new.

It didn't just look new, it looked cool. So cool that I had to take a picture:

New and cool.

It's not unusual for something in the East Village to be both new and cool. It's not even unusual for something to be new and cool and for me to walk past and take a picture. There's nothing unusual about this post at all!

By the way, this is the beloved Giano, that rhymes with piano… in the East Village Today!
