Alas…

As you may recall, back in September, the beloved Guaco Taco on East 2nd Street pretended to be open.

Sadly for all East Villagers, they never really did, before closing:

Here is a close-up of the For Rent sign:

In the old days, that would have read: "Call Moe".

It just goes to show you, the more things change, the more they stay the same!

Tacos

When Latinos For Trump's founder said there would be taco trucks on every corner if Trump was not elected, he couldn't have been thinking about the East Village — there's already a taco truck on every corner!

Hoping to compete with the taco trucks on every corner, the beloved Guaco Taco finally opened their doors:

Guaco Taco finally open.

Well, almost!

Front door blocked by plants.

At least the window was open!

Window open.

So crawl on through the window and get yourself a taco!

A New Tea House to Love

I was walking across East 2nd Street this morning, when I passed by the beloved TLC Tea House, celebrating its Grand Opening:

Grand Opening.

This stretch of real estate has not done well in the past few years, maybe longer than that! If the beloved Guaco Taco couldn't make it here, something's got to be wrong. Have you ever met a person, you say, "Let's get a taco," they say, "Heck no, I don't like no tacos."? Tacos are delicious! Tacos gotta be the most delicious thing on the whole darn planet!

But maybe the Tender Loving Care Tea House will turn that around — East Villagers do love tea!
