Impending Sidewalk Collapse

I was walking across East 6th Street last week, when I saw this new hole in the sidewalk in front of the apartment building between the Church Of God and the 6BC Botanical Garden:

What does it look like inside, you ask? What is it people are going to fall into when the collapse occurs?

Dark.

It's dark as a dungeon, down in that hole!

It's grainy too.

I was walking across East 2nd Street yesterday afternoon, pondering the taco situation in the East Village, when I noticed this graffiti sticker beside this hole in the wall of this building:
