I was walking into Tompkins Square Park the other day, through the Avenue B and East 7th Street entrance, when I saw this hidden dragon puppet beside the No Smoking sign:

Sunday In The Park

Wow, was this past Sunday a great day for walking around Tompkins Square Park!

There was so much to see, I don't know where to begin!

Filmmakers were making films:

Making films.

Puppets were dispensing free advice:

Advising.

Yelpers were yelping:

EAT24.

Unfortunately, those scooters were not for public use — I tried!

A jazz band was taking five:

Take five.

The purples were watching the dogs:

Watching.

A great time was had by all!

The Doctor Is In

East Villagers love the Peanuts comics strip — they grew up reading it!

So it came as no surprise this past Sunday, when an East Villager set up a "Free Advice" booth in Tompkins Square Park. The clincher is, in true East Village fashion, that the advice dispenser was… a puppet:

A puppet.

And, in true East Village fashion, people asked for advice!
