Rat Basketball

Speaking of rats on East 4th Street, someone put a rat poisoner in the tree bed outside the beloved PS 15.

Soon after, someone else put a Shoot A Basket® beside it!

Shoot A Basket®

It's possible that there's no poison in the poisoner, that it's a rat shelter disguised as a poisoner.

For every effort to kill a rat in the East Village, someone else makes the effort to make their lives more comfortable — even fun!

Brazen Rat

I was walking across East 4th Street this past Saturday, when I saw this brazen, verminous rat outside the beloved PS 15:

Brazen, verminous rat.

It sat there for a while, then ran down the block, as can be seen in this video:

If this had been a school day, who knows what pandemonium would have ensued?!

Abandoned Corn on the Cob

As recently as eight days ago, I wrote about corn on the cob being thrown out by P.S. 15, on East 4th Street.

This past Thursday, I discovered an abandoned box of corn on the cob, just past the front gates of the school, beside a siamese connection for the Fire Department, and a rat trap:

Abandoned corn on the cob.

By the looks of it, it's not cut in half, the way it was in the trash bag — how inconvenient is that?!

Tiny Trash Cans

These two tiny trash cans outside P.S. 015, on East 4th Street, are dwarfed by the mound of trash beside them:

Dwarfed.

Do East Village schools recycle corn on the cob?
