Competitive War is Brewing

East Villagers love small-business competition — just take a look at the Avenue A cigarette price war!

Now it looks like another struggle is developing, this time between rival coffee shops!

The beloved Cafe Pick Me Up, renown for its proximity to the Tompkins Square Park children's playground, is moving in with the beloved Gnocco, an Italian restaurant on East 10th Street between Avenues A and B:

However, the beloved 9th Street Espresso is only a few short steps away:

A few short steps away.

It's time to choose sides… in the East Village Coffee War Today!

    2. > Google+,

ha! google seems to be going downhill these days. their maps are becoming almost totally useless. they changed the way you login to gmail. i could go on and on, but that could be a whole 'nuther blog. :-)

    3. I've written a couple of times why I like WordPress better than Blogger, but I like this template too much to switch!

  2. for a basic blog, where you post text and images, that has to be easy to do. if you really must have a truly unique and different looking blog page, then templates and how easy they are to use would be important.

there could also be the cachet of who hosts your blog - blogspot/google or wordpress or someone else - and that maybe one of those is looked on as being the one where serious blogging is done versus goof blogging.

    1. It's my guess the WordPress would be more serious. This blog is the one exception!
