Third Time's A Charm

A couple of weeks ago, I posted a picture of the mural on the side of the Niagara bar, on East 7th Street at Avenue A, that had been graffitied  on.

This past week, the mural was painted again — of the three, this is the first one that actually looks like Joe Strummer!

Introducing: Joe Strummer.

If this one doesn't last, I think Joe Strummer should be abandoned. It could only mean that he has no connection to the people of the East Village today.

I suggest replacing him with Mumford & Sons! Their new album has a song called "Tompkins Square Park"! It's a cool song.
