Gnarly Old Tree

This gnarly old tree stands at the Avenue B and East 7th Street entrance to Tompkins Square Park:

It seems to be holding up pretty well! Many of the trees in the park are dying.

It helps that it's growing straight up. East Villagers prefer gimpy trees, but they're hard to keep alive!
